I’VE GOT TO TAKE A COMPUTER COURSE!

Greetings all, I was away with my family for three days in Lancaster, PA. I brought along my brand new lap top that has Wi-Fi and every other bell and whistlle you can think of. The problem is when it comes to techno file type of things, I’m in the special Ed class. Giving me this laptop is as bad as giving me a Porche Carrera, I’d just hang out in the left lane doing 55. The problem was the hotel we stayed in had wireless service but you had to have tape holding your glasses together to figure out how to use it. So while I tried to gain access to the world wide web, my wife and kids had no paitents as they wanted to go swimming/shopping/amusment parking/eating so I didn’t have much time to figure out how to get on and post. They did throw me a bone on Wednesday night as I got to watch the last four innings of Mets-Padres and got to hear Dan Shulman and The Franchise Killer, Steve Phillips, kill Mets fans for leaving in the 8th inning on what looked to be a misserable night. By the way the weather in Lancaster was more like mid November than mid August same as in NY from what I hear.

As I type this the Mets are up 2-0 as David Wright continues to make his move on the MVP with an opposite field HR and some great glove work. Gary Cohne was wondering who the Mets would send down to make room for Endy Chavz, who could be re-activated tomorrow. Cohen thought it would be very hard to send down a position player although LMillz could be sent down for a week and brought back on September 1. I say just designate Mota for assignment as the Braves have done with Bob Wickman.  Omar would show some cajones a la John Shuerholz.

Steve welcome back. Even if you were a techie and was able to blog you would have plenty of indigestion from the great food of the Armish. It would not be the food, but Willie and his team allowing the Padres to look like the best hitting club in the majors. Oy Vey( Yiddish for “oh woe”, a Jewish expression often of frustration), but also of excitement. is what the Wilpons are saying as they see their team lose but not lose any ground in the standings.

Could you imagaine how the standings would look if the the Braves and Phils were playing good ball??? How would the standings look if Beltran was still in a slump?? How would the standings look if the Mets beat the Padres or atleast 2 out of 3??

Steve you are right 100% about giving Steriodman Mota his release. The problem is that Omar does not want to release his boy.

Well the next 9 games are critical for this team to lower their magic number and play good ball. 2 more with the hollywood stars ( Los Dodgers) 4 with Jimmy and Co.the phils in Philly and then they travel to the hell hole of America: Braves and play( Turner Field)… They need to be atleast 6-3 during those 9 games

The mets front office will be need to be commited to Bellview if they send LMilz down. Are they nuts for even thinking about that? I mean the guy plays a good rightfield, hussles, and adds life to a team that has often lack it this year. Not to mention he has started some key rallies at times since he has been up. Just refer back to Tues. nights game when he singled off Hoffman. Dfa Mota or even Green who has become a slow singles hitter who can’t field anymore.

The move is to dfa Green. His former skill base has eroded to nothing. It is unrealistic to assume he can become a pinch hitter, something he’s never done. And, he useless in the field. There’s no room for him on a contending team. Goodbye, Shawn. I’ll be happy to drive you to LaGuardia.
