“Good teams, they can smell it. I would venture to say we know what time it is now‗Willie Randolph
A couple of things before I head off to Brooklyn to catch the water taxi to Shea. That damn water taxi has spoiled me.
Cooper said it looks like the Astros will be in rebuild mode this off season so of course the first thing that popped into my head was Roy Oswalt and him becoming a Met. I say Omar must, by any means necessary, try to pry Oswald away from the Astros. Oswalt becomes target numero uno this off season.
Here is why Keith Hernandez is great. Last night Gary Cohen playing the straight man, asked Mex what he did on his off day, Hernandez said the he and “Lovey†went golfing. He said just like Thurston Howell III. Ole’ Mex.
Not the greatest performance out of Mike Pelfrey last night but he hung in and got the win. The most encouraging aspect of his performance was getting a lot of ground ball outs.
Lmilliz had a great game. Hopefullt Willie has him in the lineup today; if not there will be one disappointed 12 year old boy in the right field stands at Shea.
Gotta go catch my boat. Magic number now 17 LETâ€S GO METS!

Steve,
Nice job on the radio, other readers should hit that link and listen. Other kids wore 7 for Mantle, Steve wore it for Kranepool. Go Steve! You’re lucky you took the water taxi. I come in from CT and the Whitestone Expy was a NIGHTMARE for this afternoon’s game. I left Milford, CT at 10:30 and sat down in the top of the second. DAMN USELESS OPEN!
Thank you Rich. I HATE THE U.S. OPEN
