I think my head is going to explode. You know what pisses me off about the Mets? No, not the players. No, not the manager or the front office or even the front office. Not even the ushers at Shea, the connsesioners or the bathrooms in the Upper Deck. No, none of that turns my ass red. The one element of Metsdom that makes me contemplate committing a felony is METS FANS! YOU PEOPLE (not you specifically) DRIVE ME FUCKING CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Â
Â
First, who gives a rat’s ass if the Mets are not on the back page of the newspaper? Sure it would be fabulous if today’s front page of the tabs said WORLD CHAMPION METS but it doesn’t it has pics of Joe Giradi and Don Mattingly. WHO CARES!!!!! Stop calling the assholes at WFAN and ESPN 1050 crying that the Mets are second class citizens. BOO-FUCKING- HOO. You idiots are laying right into the hands of the Highlander Gestapo in this town that have brained washed you into thinking the Mets as a team and you as a Mets fan are not worthy to even exist. The Highlanders are the Bush Administration just a bunch of fucking bullies that use scare tactics to govern and we Mets fans are the Democratic Party who are afraid to stand up and fight. Well I’m tired of it and take this as me putting my size 10 ½ Chuck Taylor in your ass’s.
Â
And another thing, stop with the Mets should get A-Rod retoric. Not one of you fuckers have said the magic words when it comes to A-Rod joining the Mets, “HE MAKES US A WINNING TEAM†All I hear is how much money he’ll bring in for the Skill Sets and SNY. WHO GIVES A SHIT. All I care about is bringing in winning players and Alex Rodriguez does not fit that bill. Have you guys read some of this shit? “Well, we can move David Wright to second base or first base or outfield and trade Delgado or move Jose Reyes to second base and left A-Rod play shortâ€Â WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you serious!!!!! You want to disrupt your team, your nucleus your young guns for an over paid over pamper fucking head case who does not have a winning bone in his body who whipped out his dick and pissed all over the World Series, that’s who you want on your team? Then you guys are as pathetic as A-Rod is.
Â
Oh here’s a bulletin for all you deep thinkers out there; the Mets are not just a good team they are still one of the best teams in baseball and all that’s needed is a tune up and a front line pitcher (like they grow on trees) so come 2008 you just have to settles for a team with three MVP candidates, a Hall of Fame pitcher back in form after an injury a couple of young and up and coming outfielders and a team that will contend for the NL Pennant. If that’s not enough for you maybe you’re rooting for the wrong team.

Is he a dick? Probably but this dickhead can produce like that on a normal year. Those numbers up there aren’t his career year numbers, this is a typical season, and a down year for him is the type of production you expect from David Wright, that’s a down year. This dickhead happens to be the best player in the game. Not the best in his position, not one of the best in the league, not the best player in the game right now, but one of the best players EVER!
The Yankees didn’t lose because of Alex Rodriguez, they lost because thier pitching sucks donkey balls and it has sucked for the past 4 years.
And the money is not going to prevent them from signing and trading for top flight pitchers, trust me. Major League Baseball is very close to approaching revenues on the same level as the NFL, the sport is making SERIOUS money.
And just remember the whole “choking” thing, well, Johan Santana hasn’t won a ring, and he has a 1-5 record in the playoffs. But… that’s who everyone wants. The whole clutch and choking this is a bullshit and made up perception to explain something called small sample size. I mean Captain Clutch grounded into like… 4 double plays in Game 5 of the ALDS alone.
Being a “winning” player doesn’t exist, unless your Kenny Lofton, that man knows how to win, and he doesn’t even have a World Series ring.
The fact is, A-Rod makes the team better. If put you Wright at 2nd base you replace Castillo’s production with A-Rod’s. C’mon now, that’s just… such a big improvement I can’t even type right now.
I’d prefer going after pitching but if he’s there, you go for it because he does something you can’t deny, MAKE THE TEAM BETTER!
Which is the goal, correct?
OK, Benny’s defense aside (you know I love ya, man, but the ARod man crush has got to stop! LOL), I am right with you on hating A-Rod. I like how you say A-Rod will bring in cash to the Skill Sets but I say one other thing will bring in cash – Championships and contending teams. A-Rod makes them neither. Esp as you say that will disrupt the nucleus of the team. JUST SAY NO.
Im with you Benny.. the guy just produces mind boggling numbers year in and year out.. .. i dont get why people are so adamantly against the guy.. so what if he likes she-males and is an introvert .. he is NOT a total ass like Bonds with three lockers and a recliner… Or KK-Kent
This supposed top team in baseball didnt even make the PLAYOFFS this year.. we need to constantly make changes to keep up with the Fils, Cubs, Dodgers and Bravos — not to mention the Sox and the rest of the AL.
This is the perfect power move to launch the Mets into a five year domination of the NL.. Besides.. who on the mets is a “Winning player” today? Pedro maybe? Delgado.. yeah right.. Beltran-when did he win anything? Castillo won a few but hes ready for a knee replacement.
The only arguements I hear on the other side is he’s a panty waist, she-male f-ing 24 and 1 player and is not clutch.. well .. FUKC Steve Phillips and his BS statement–no one listens to that FAG anyways… I say let the guy play in queens and lets see what happens when he gets a larger sample of playoff performance. In the mean time i’ll take my chances with 310/45/150 and a 1100 OPS.. Love Stings’ tude but we need chips to upgrade the pitching..this weak FA pitching Class aint gonna add nothing of real value/
We’ll make a spot for him .. Double Clutch DW anit no gold glove out there at 3B.. 2B aint the answer but the outfield needs an upgrade.
I read somewhere – -”whats is Alou more likely to repeat? A 30 game hit streak or 60 days on the DL”? Scary Shyte to have to depend on that.
THe $$ to the Skillsets mearly justifies his paycheck..We’ve got the $$ for pitching.. that wont be an issue.
When he’s hitting number 850 in Citifield I guarantee we’ll all be wearing his jersey and cheering like mad.
I wanna parade around town in my Mets hat like I did in 1986 and tell Senile Georgie to stick it up his pompous ass.
I cant stand another September swoon and watching crappy football all OCtober.
I cant wait until he jams it down Hank and Hal’s throat and puts on the Orange and Blue. Jesus.. think it through.. the guy is not only the best player in baseball.. he may be the best player OF THIS GENERATION>>> and just comes at the price of Freddy’s dough.
Sign me Up@!! Go Get’em Omar.
I guess I’m in the middle on this one. A-Rod is clearly one fantastic ballplayer. He’s also a jerk.
I’ll deal with the jerk bit first. He can’t help being who he is, but I suspect he’ll be slightly less of a jerk on a team which is less dominated by a player & team leader he cannot stand. I think he’ll still be a jerk, but slightly less of one.
I think the Mets could overcome the fact A-Rod is a jerk, however, the move would be a disaster if it cost the Mets so much money that they had nothing left to fill other gaps.
Let’s face it, the Mets are more than one big bat away from winning. Also, there’s no way I’d move Reyes to make room for A-Rod at short because Reyes is on the brink of being a fantastic defensive player. He has concentration lapses, which have to be eliminated, but there are things he can do out on the field that other shortstops cannot do.
I don’t mind moving Wright, but where? Left field makes more sense to me than second base. First isn’t a bad idea, but I can’t imagine moving Delgado. I love the idea of Wright working with Hernandez to become one of the top first basemen – at least he wouldn’t have to throw so often.
Couldn’t agree more about the fans whining, however. Let the Yankees dominate the back pages at this time so long as the Mets are dominating the papers this time next year for all the right reasons.
Tell us how you really feel about the whole damn situation. Don’t touch a damn thing about this ball club. Yes resign one or two and bring in a new arm or two but we sure in the hell do not need to recreate the wheel. Hold your heaqd you Met’s fan or step away from the plate. Has anyone heard the rumor of Noah Lowry for Milledge. Now those kind of moves will create the winning Mets no the blockbuster moves like the A-Rod wet-dream.
No need to trade for Lowry as Pelfrey or Humber are better than him and especially not for LMillz no way.
