I'm right with you on Alou Steve-o. I write about it today at MSF and although I'm OK with it, I think it's llike flushing at least 4.5 mm of that 7.5mm down the toilet. Hey, now that would be fun. Our only saving grace is that Moises is the one veteran who was pretty pissed off about how things turned out in 2007. Not like some overpaid overweight 1Bs -- btw, sign me up for those Say Yes to Bomb Testing shirts. The one thing I am a pissed off about is Damion Easley. WTF Omar -- are we trying to stay old?

Anyway, A-rod to the Mets is a way to get his contract price up. People, I know A-Rod is the best player of this generation. But g-damn it already, the clubhouse already has its rifts. He's an A-Hole deluxe and that's being nice. And if he doesn't pitch 200+ innings per year, I don't want him on my team. Sorry folks, why ruin the best left side of the infield by slotting A-Rod in btw his NOT natural position of 3B? Don't touch DW and don't touch Reyes. We don't need A-Rod. I don't care he gets 100000000 RBIs a year. F him.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14211','Coop','I\'m right with you on Alou Steve-o.
On the money, as usual, Mr. Kranepool. I just don't get the Alou logic. "He's one of the most productive hitters we had, when he was on the field", says Omar. THAT'S THE POINT, OMAR. HE'S NEVER ON THE FUCKING FIELD! It's like buying a Porsche that you know will be in the shop more than it's on the road. It just frustrates you and costs you more in the end, regardless of how stylish it may be. Why do we invest in players whom everyone knows will break down? How about investing in a guy who may give you 150? Make sense? Easley was a good signing, and Anderson is a must. Add in Endy and Gomez, yes, bench is strong like bull.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14193','Rich','On the money, as usual, Mr. Kranepool.
Been reading this site for a while now, dont post as often here as other places...

Gotta disagree with you big time bout A-Rod.

While if he goes elsewhere, I wont be heartbroken... As I agree we have a great team in place.

However, when the best player of your generation all of a sudden becomes a free agent by sticking it to the team you hate the most... and the fact he grew up a met fan... and the fact that I have never seen someone I root for hit 50 homers... and the fact that all this shit about him not handling them media and not being clutch and not winning as absolute bullshit... and the fact that great players are becoming free agents less and less..

If it can happen, it should happen. I think we met fans can embrace him and support his assault on baseball.

and just to clarify, no way should wright play 2b. Delgado would have to be moved and Wright would have to play 1b.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14184','gbaked','Been reading this site for a while now, dont post as often here as other places...\r\n\r\nGotta disagree with you big time bout A-Rod.\r\n\r\nWhile if he goes elsewhere, I wont be heartbroken...
