LISTEN TO GOTHAM BASEBALL LIVE TONIGHT

I will be a guest on Gotham Baseball Live with Mike Silva tonight a 11PM as we will talk about day 2 of the Winter Meetings, the blockbuster Marlins-Tigers deal that I favor the Fish in and of course, Omar Minaya futile attempt at finding some pitching.

Hard not to feel jealous of the Tigers tonite. With the Mets needing both offense and a number 1 pitcher(for longer than I care to remember) and Detroit taking care of it in one fell swoop.
My guess is that Minaya(whose done a pretty fair job) will overpay for Grade B talent, which is the Mets fall back position once they pull off bidding on the Big catches.

Did anyone buy the “we are a better team then we were last year” bit?

we are screwed! we just dont have the pieces – he wont over pay but hes going to have to go after riskier players – IE Colon makes a ton of sense and id like to see them make a run at AJ Burnett. 2 huge ? marks but thats where we are at.
