ANDY PHILLIPS SIGNS A MINOR LEAGUE DEAL WITH THE REDS AND I’M NOT HAPPY

It’s the little moves that teams make that interest me. When the Highlanders released Andy Phillips I thought he’d be a perfect pick up for the Mets, a right handed bat, a very good defensive first baseman, a descent fill in outfielder and a good guy to boot so how did Omar Minaya let this guy slip away? Sometimes it’s the Andy Phillip’s of the sports world that get you over the top. Especially when your superstars won’t get their hands dirty guys like Phillips add grit (hockey term) Another opportunity lost by the Mets
