I’m not going to take up too much space here talking about MF Clemens but when all this PED bullshit broke I held off judgment because I like to see some evidence before I hang someone. After watching yesterdays’ Congressional hearings I’m ready to construct the gallows. Brain McNamee may be a liar, cheat and all around scumbag but watching him yesterday sit at that table before a bunch of clueless politicians and be as cool, calm and collected as he could be and then backed by the testimony of Andy Petite and Chuck Knoblach and add in the desperation sacrifice that MF Clemens did of Mrs. MF Clemens well it’s time to take a for baseball and baseball fans to take a broken bat and throttle Clemens. But at this point what does all this mean besides the fact that Clemens is a liar?
Enough MF Clemens lets talk Mets.
Dirty Sanchez looks to be ready to go and make it back as a main cog in the Mets bullpen. One thing it looks as if Sanchez learned a lesson about work habits and conditioning after getting thrown out of camp by Willie Randolph last spring.

I say no Hall of Fame for these guys: Clemens, Bonds, Palmeiro, etc. And by the way, if it comes out that Mike Piazza was juicing up, I say no Hall for him either. Taking a stand for values and against cheating is worth doing.
A second level is to add a specific standardized cluse to every major league contract that specifically prohibits the use of substances designed to enhance performance, and that any violations of that clause will require that the player return of the full value of the contract to the team. I believe that would end it.
Good points, David. I liken it to fighting in hockey. If the NHL wanted to get rid of it, they would (and get me back as a fan). You fight, you’re gone for 25 games, none of this nonsense of “third man in”. When we want a practice to stop, we legislate it and make the penalties hurt, like your thought on voiding a contract.
Mets signed Brady Clark. I like it. Veteran righty bat off the bench who can hit lefties (.308). Nice compliment to Endy as b/u outfielders. As the Beatles would say “it’s getting better all the time”.
