Can he be groomed for first base in case Delgado goes MIA? Our prospects at 1B are not exactly can’t miss blue-chippers.

I love this team, but it is an OLD team, very susceptible to injuries. They have already begun. If you think Delgado is out for the last time with the hip, think again. He may miss two months all totaled with this one. It bothers the guy when he swings, for goodness sake...Alou-just a matter of time. Problem is now some of the younger guys are going down (Schneider, Church, and Anderson-he's 34). And PLEASE folks, can we stop with the Nady love fest? This guy is a below average fielder at all positions he plays, and probably a .265 hitter. He's an ok reserve, not the next to part the red sea. Just remember this the last 17 games of last season all the Mets had to do was play one game under .500 and the Phillies had to go 16-1 JUST TO TIE THEM!!!! How did that workout there sunshine?
