I have high hopes for the Mets this year. I think it being the last year at Shea might give them some extra motivation. It just FEELS like they have all the pieces in place to put up a monster year, especially with the upgraded pitching staff.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('58257','MetsTicketSource.com','I have high hopes for the Mets this year.
I like your picks, but I must defend the honor
of my fellow Quakers - hey at least we finished above .500 in the Ivies this year
despite having no team to speak of.

Calling the Blunts, Quakers, no no. You owe
all the U of Pennsylvania grads and students
an appy-polly-lodgy. Well except the Wharton
'geniuses' and their 'creativity'.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('58253','Seamus','I like your picks, but I must defend the honor\r\nof my fellow Quakers - hey at least we finished above .500 in the Ivies this year\r\ndespite having no team to speak of.\r\n\r\nCalling the Blunts, Quakers, no no.
I like your choice of Toronto. One of the most under-understood aspects of the Jays (& Expos) is the value of the greenback. Now, with the gains in the value of the Loon (CAN$) the Jays have a much bigger income, but their outgoings (players' salaries) are lower. They have resources that were lacking during the late 90s and early 00s. If Montreal had held on, that franchise would be sitting pretty now.

I hope you're right about the Mets this year. So much rides on Pedro. If he falls short the Mets are in serious trouble.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('58251','Eagle','I like your choice of Toronto.
