Tell me you didn’t see that Texiera Home Run coming? Two quick outs Larry Jones walks Heilman gives up the long ball a homer that barely farted over the fence. How many years have we been watching this now 14 15 years of gaging at the Ted.
And while I have a bug up my butt I know Brian Schineder is a fine defensive catcher and blah blah blah but wouldn’t it be the right move to make down a run late in the game to run for him after he got a hit in the 8th? Â

Let me start my campaign now and early.
WILLIE MUST GO!!!!
OMAR MUST GO!!!!!
IT’s for Jeffrey and Fred to start acting like George and demand for what they pay. How can they have any tolerance for Willie not motivating this team and Omar signing all Spanish players.
Why he did not run for Schneider in the 8th down 1 is beyond me. Easley or Clark could have come in and tried to swipe the bag to get the tying run in scoring position. This had the feel of a loss from the start. Prick Smoltz, half of the Braves Chuck and Larry team (TG is his lover), was fooling the Mets badly and you just knew they’d scratch one off Johan. Man, I hate losing to those guys. The bitter taste has to last until Tuesday afternoon.
Remember the chant at Shea has to be
Willie Must GO, not Lets Go Mets…
Remember
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO,Willie Must GO
Sadly, after watching the games, I feel the Braves have a better lineup, – we have Pagan in LF, career 260, they have Diaz-McCann behind the plate, Francouer in RF, ANYONE at 2nd(Castillo is TOTALLY unable to drive in a man unless he is on 3rd-why is he hitting 2nd?, Texeira at 1st, It is probably a tie at SS/3B, even if you give the Mets that edge and the obvious one in CF-that is still 5 of 8 spots where they are better-Add a manager who has a clue and I fear it will be an 87/89 type year
That means 1987/1989-I know on paper we have better starters, but the bullpen?? and add Willie into the mix(Guillermo Mota anyone-how long would he have laste in Atl pitching like that?)
EDDIE, PETE FROM NY AND I WERE SCREAMING AFTER THE GM. HOW DOES WILLY NOT PINCH RUN FOR SCHNEIDER THERE. HE IS SO PAINFUL AND CLUELESS NOT SURE HOW MUCH MORE I CAN TAKE. WILLY IS A CLASS ACT, BUT THE MAN DOESN’T KNOW WHAT HE;S DOING.
Add me on to the list that sees the Braves with the way better line up.If both duque and pelfrey dont step up, than it will not be the compensating factor the Mets hoped for. There are few holes in the Braves and Phillies line up.
The mets only seem to have Beltran, Wright, Reyes and than a busload of utility players. Alou is not a given and Delagdo……you know.
Yup. Too many weak spots. But, if Reyes were hitting and running the Mets would have won at least one of two in Atlanta. He’s still the key.
