Also… Carter is waaaay too arrogant to be a NYC manager in my opinion. He was a great player… but I think there is a reason he can’t get a job.

Backman is awesome, but I think he might just implode here….

How about a proven winning manager like Davey or Bobby V or at least a hard ass like John Gil Hodges Sterns. Also… how about Straw as a coach and we retire the old meat at 3rd base?

He's been declining for a few years now. Besides, why would you platoon Alou? He can hit righties and lefties. His issue is health and defense. I can't believe Willie said that, but it makes me think that Wayne Hagin was right.
