Right now the only difference between Jeffey Wilpon and James Dolan is Dolan has some talent as he can play the guitar, Jeffey is just an out and out douche bag with that being his only talent.

Look I’m with everyone else here as this move while it could be justified was a classless scumbag way of doing business so that means it has Jeffey Wilpon’s name all over it. Why fly Willie, Rick Peterson and Tom Nieto across the country and order your GM to fire them after a win. Make no mistake, this is not Omar Minaya’s call he was forced into firing Randolph as the Wilpon Boot Lickers in the Mets front office did everything to leak enough information to the press that the manager and coaches would be canned.

If this was done on Friday afternoon with Jeffey and Omar presiding over a press conference to answer question there would be no outrage but to do it in such a cowardly way like Jeffey Wilpon did, and if you were thick headed enough to not know who is in charge of this fucking train wreck of a baseball organization, well you just got it hammered into your head that Jeffey is the Head Asshole in Charge of destroying the New York Mets.

As I said I called for Rick Peterson to be relived of his duties a couple of months ago as I felt it was time to change the message of pyramids and bio mechanics and all that other scientific mumbo jumbo and bring in a guy who will work with the starters to get maximum innings with minim pitchers and to be able to relate to the pitchers through experience in the big league level. I don’t know Dan Warthen way of doing things but at least he pitched in the big leagues so that helps as far as I’m concerned.

That Sandy Alomar survived tells me he is related some how to the Skill Sets and why Tom Nieto got fired has no explanation unless he ate one dounut too many from the clubhouse spread.  I’m happy for Ken Oberkfell as he did a good job in Triple A and deserves a big league job and Luis Aguayo goes from field coordinator to Jerry Manuel’ bench coach. Manuel is here just as a care taker as no permanent move will be made until after the season as there could be a new GM as well.

From all you read and try to piece together the how’s and why’s of this episode it looks as if Jeffey wanted Randolph gone after the collapse. Omar looks as if he stuck his neck out for Willie and saved him to come back this season. Then the combo of continuing to wallow in mediocrity and the statement Willie made to the Bergen Record especially dropping the race issue in the rant was what had Willie in the Wilpon cross hairs as they felt they were unjustly portrayed by an under achieving manager. At that point they were right. Randolph came off as insecure and a guy in panic mode. But after the Summit at Shea on May 28th a whole new Willie appeared before our eyes. Gone was name rank and serial number Willie at his press Conference and up stepped Flip Wilson. Willie was loose and witty and down right likable and when your corner players, the guys who are supposed to provide the offense, were D-Wright, Endy Chavez, Carlos Delgado, and now Trot Nixon. Wright is a star the rest have no luster whatsoever. John McGraw couldn’t win with that bunch.

At least the watch is over so now the white hot spot light is turned on Omar Minaya and the players. Time to put up or shut up.

Omar has a 5PM EDT press conference today to explain this latest move and little weasel Jeffey Wilpon better be there to face the music.
