I’ve been clamoring for Omar to trade for Matt Murton and now with the transition going on with the Mets why not reach out to the Cubs and make a deal for Murton he’s a righty bat stick him in a platoon in left with Trot Nixon and that gives you better production that your getting now from your corner men.

Off topic but:
Curious that out of all the people fired, the one major problem has been the anemic to lack of timely hitting and Howard Johnson is still with the team. His position was the most obvious to be refilled.
The stunning fact is that Alomar was not fired. His terrible decisions are in public view on a daily basis. Steve, I like the idea of Murton/Nixon, and I’ll like it better if they officially cut ties with Alou as well.
