What? Wait Is the game over? What? Who? Where?

Some quick observations on last night All Star game as I have a busy day with more baseball practice as our All Star team gets ready for our first game Saturday:

Let’s hope that’s the last save Billy Benitez blows this year, although I think that’s wishful thinking.

I was praying that both teams would run out of pitchers as because nothing makes me happier than seeing The Used Car Salesman get embarrassed.

Forget Raul Ibanez I WANT ICHIRO NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yogi Berra annoys the living shit out of me and this goes back to 1973 and his misuse of his pitching staff in the post season for the Mets (his misuse of George Stone in particular Yes I hold grudges forever) Now that Berra is old and feeble why put him on TV? The guy mumbled when he was young now he is incoherent. How many more Yogi-isms do we have to endure and to top off the embarrassment he called Doofus Joe Buck, “Jay” when he was interviewed all the while TIm Mc Fullofshit had his hand on Berra’s thigh like he wanted to give him a hand job. Very uncomfortable TV.

Speaking of uncomfortable TV Do you know how tough it is to watch a ball game and have ads for hard on pills and prostrate trouble with your soon to be 13 year old son? When the Flomax ad comes on my son asked me “how’s your prostrate dad”? Something in 100 million years I would never had asked my old man, so I tell it’s A-OK and thanks for asking. Then the Viagra ad comes on and I glance over at him and he’s looking at me and I tell him “Don’t even go there” then after a long pause I tell him as if I was under oath in front of Congress, “I have never used performance enhancing drugs”

I hate the Highlanders but I think even after last night I hate them more, I will be rooting hard for the Red Sox to win the AL East and for Johnathan Paplebon to kick the Bronx Bastards ass.

One more Mets- less day seems like a month since J-Man boys played Bring On The Red Legs

And WTF is with Doofus Joe and that bad dye job? And I was just getting used to Mc Fullofshit’s Dye Job!

    I couldn’t understand Yogi, either

The hand job line was hysterical. Steve, you are the man! Try watching the games with your 15 year old daughter when Viagra ads come on. Talk about AWKWARD! I work for the company that makes Flomax, so she’s been giving me shit about needing it (being over 40 now) for years. The little brat…

Anyway, all that Highlander shit for the past week does make me hate them even more, and I did not think that was possible. How about this one? The Sox win the division, and TB gets the wildcard, and the Bronx bastards are on the outside looking in? Can we make Suzyn cry again? HA! That’s it, the holy grail!

how abou that pompous ass Tom Terific Seaver not showing his fat head with a Mets Hat in the parade of Hall of Famers..

We have to be content with Big Mouth Carter waving an ELB AND a Mets cap

Seaver is dead to me from hear on.. Next time he shows up in the booth to pitch his piss poor wine I hope he gets a DUI.

At MLB.com today they are predicting that the Mets win the Division…what a perceptible change since Jerry Gangsta took the reins.

We have the hottest team in baseball, the Phillies and Fish fear us again, the Braves are about to become Sellers…and despite all the talk about the Big Three in the Central Division, we are well positioned for a Wild Card berth too, should it come to that.

And yet you guys want to reserve judgment and tamp down the joy. I say embrace it, roll in it, even though we all know that we are sure to hit another skid soon enough.

Is there any possibility that Shea can still be saved, groomed as a soccer venue for the Red Bulls and world soccer events, and the place where the All City soccer championships are played, as well as mega concerts?

I really hate to see that building just go down!

If the NL had to lose I was really hoping that it was going to be due to Lidge having a total meltdown – the sort that would put him off his game for the rest of the year. Instead I have to say that if it wasn’t for Uggla the worst moment was Wagner stinkin up the joint. I doubt the loss was bad enough for that.

I wonder if Uggla will be able to put this game behind him?
