While I'll be the first to admit that I've boo'd the Braves quite lustily over the years, it was more out of a frustration rather than an authentic hatred of the Braves. It just seemed that whenever the Mets managed to scrape and claw their way into contention, there was this bland team that always seemed to everything right ahead of us. At least Larry was one of the few Braves who seemed to get into the spirit of the rivalry.
