What does that say about our team when a 7 run lead still has us on the edge of our seat.

And another thing, enough of that fucking Captain Craptastic Ford commercial on SNY during Mets games I'd rather see that little dip shit Guisppe Franco than Cap Crap
Reply - Quote

Michael, I was thinking about that. The talk in 06 was that the Mets were effectively built "backwards", with more reliance on the pen than on the starters. Oliver and Bradford were huge parts of that. Can you guys believe that, in 2 short years, the pen is by far and away the weakness of the team?
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('109223','Rich','Michael, I was thinking about that.
After the '06 NLCS, Omar was as if a Constipated Man, not re-signing two Key Relievers in Oliver and Bradford:

It was as if "Jeffy" was making player decisions, by ordering the signing of more junk, because they came CHEAPER;

The results are NOT Good.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('109217','Michael Leggett','After the \'06 NLCS, Omar was as if a Constipated Man, not re-signing two Key Relievers in Oliver and Bradford:\r\n\r\nIt was as if \"Jeffy\" was making player decisions, by ordering the signing of more junk, because they came CHEAPER;\r\n\r\nThe results are NOT Good.'); return false;">Quote

Right on Rich, so many chances to add on runs.
Rich, I totally agree. I got the feeling around the 5th inning that the Mets all of a sudden lost the idea of how to get hits. It was like a blanket over the team, like the bats had holes in them or they felt the game was won and weren't even trying. Even in extra innings, you could feel they were not going to get hits, let alone runs.

My pitching goat goes to Feliciano. His slow cheese isn't fooling anyone anymore.

And someone tell me why Petey never uses his best pitch anymore (changeup) ???????????? His changeup always has and still is filthy but he seems to have lost all confidence in it. Every time he used it last night, the phils flailed at it. Warthen needs to talk to him about that.

My kudos goes out to Easley for a great night at the plate and Delgado for risking his life to get that one hop grounder in extra innings to save the game. Maybe give Heilman a little cudos for a gutsy effort.

I want that 4+ hours of my life back.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('109212','Frank from Jersey','Rich, I totally agree.
I challenge any Mets fan to say they dd not see this coming. At 7-0, then 7-1, letting opportunities to add on pass, and watching the Ambien that the hitters took kick in, you just had that feeling. Rollins was being Rollins, and the little prick (who MUST get drilled) was 0 for 6, so you knew he would pop up like a zit on prom night. In the extras, did the Mets need to to take bats to the plate? They had no interest in using them. They looked meek and like a bunch of pussies. It had the EXACT feel of....you know

Johan.
