Gil Meche got 5/$55 and Carlos Silva 4/$48 so you have to think Ollie's going to do better than either of those two and there are very few quality free agents (Sabathia aside) that he will be competing for the $s with. I would imagine 4 years @ $40mil should get the deal done for the Mets until Bore-ass brings in a spreadsheet showing some crazy stats like the Mets always score more runs when he pitches or some shit like that. Perez is a Mental case and we all know it. If one bolt or screw goes loose, he could revert back into the 7-16 5.83 ERA kinda guy he was when we got him and once the boos come, that is the end.
