OUT CHOPPING WOOD FOR THE HOT STOVE

I have not seen or heard the Mets get this much bad press since the days of Al Harazin. The last two or three days this organization has been called clueless, gutless, and a team of chokers. With all that not one player, front office person or the owners have come out to either defend or to say that” yes we know this team needs some changes and we are commited to do just that ” No all we get is the sod for &iti Field will arrive in a week. Who gives a fuck. All this ownership cares about is &iti Field and how many suites they can sell to bulk up their already full pockets. Time for a wake up Skill Sets, as money doesn’t buy balls and I’m talking the cajones type, Omar has to go out and get the Mets the baseball equivalent of Sean Avery.  I’ve already voted for AJ Pierzynski to be that guy. Did you see the play at the plate last night with him and Mike Cuddyer? After Cuddyer slammed into AJ he not only held on to the ball as he tagged Cuddyer out put he then put the ball to his face as if to say “Right here bitch” I WANT AJ!!!!!!

Don’t you think they’re sweating those suites now? All those bankers who won’t be buying those. They’ll be begging civil servants, teachers & cops to buy the good seats by the time next April rolls around.

But that’s good. The only solution here is a boycott. Fred and Jeff need to know that Met fans are mad as hell and not gonna take it any more.

If you but 2009 Mets tix and/or gear, you are part of the problem, not the solution.

Let Fred see his Ebbets Field redux half empty the first warm night in June and he will rethink this mess.

I don’t think they realize how angry the fan base is. I guess it does not matter to them, because people like me will buy the over-proced tickets.

Here is the off season shopping list for Omar…

    A blank check for K-Rod.
A pat on the back and some lovely parting gifts ($4 mill) for Delgado…
An infielders glove (3B) for Murphy…
A first basemans’ mitt for Wright…
The drugs that the D-backs GM is on, if he is really willing to trade Byrnes for The Gimp…not to mention a very fast plane to get him out there, before minds get changed.
And I will be glad to add Pierzynski…is he a free agent? I am tired of seeing Castro spend three fourths of the season on the DL.

“yes we know this team needs some changes and we are commited to do just that”

Steve, to be honest, I don’t think Mets fans really want to hear that same line of BS again from management. I’m glad they are keeping their pie holes shut. I would rather see some action than hear that same old song and dance about how they will fix the team. We already know they will try to fix the team, I don’t need to hear it from them. Trust me, they all know that parts of the team are pathetic and I’m sure they will try their best to fix it.

Paul, I LOVE Murphy’s swing, reminds me of jeffries a bit but I’d like to see his stats with 350+ AB’s before I buy into him being the next big thing.

Guys, we all know that $30 mil is coming off the books and with the new stadium, Minaya will have many blank checks to fix the team. Everyone just needs to take a Xanax and relax

Frank, I like Murphy, not just because of anything other than he has given me the impression in the last six weeks that is, pure and simply a baseball player. I am more impressed with his stats as a pinch hitter, which was about .500
