HEY COLE HAMELS, DUH?

What I’m  supposed to get upset over Cole Hamels going on WFAN and calling the Mets “choke artists” ? Hey I’d love to sit here and call Hamels a no good cheesesteak eating douchebag from is depressing shithole of a city but it’s not doing any good for me or you or any other Mets fan to get pissed off about this awful label our beloved Metsies have been saddled with.

Non other than the fabulous Darryl Strawberry who was on with the Great Bloviator on WFAN this afternoon said as much when Hamels remarks we played. When asked by Mean Mike what would the 86ers have done with Hamels for making a remark like that about them he wasted no time in saying a fastball to ear and  good old fashion ass kicking would be the first order of business.

Unfournately the Mets have no one who would step up and  whizz  a fastball in anger at an oppenent so all we can hope for is that the next time Hamels in NYC he spits on the sidewalk or jay walks as he could find a radio antenna soved up his ass.

Ill start by saying im a phils fan i respect this post from a mets fan. im not gonna address exactly what cole said or add anything to it, but i must say, the people who conducted this interview were terrible. Just looking to get Cole to say something. When he addressed the jose reyes homerun celebrations, the guy goes “so its fair to say you hate jose reyes?” thats ridiculous to assume that from what he said. and he was baited into the chokers thing as well. i believe the question was something like “the last two years would you call the mets chokers?” and i think that was the second time he was asked the question.

It freaking amazes me how those stupid players from that ugly city are so facinated with the Mets. Hey jerks – you just won the friggen WS STOP talking about the Mets – god – I’m wondering of the Mets should go to court and have a restraining order issued – they are friggen obessed.

    Sick bastards.

this is a great trade, no doubt, and omar is the master, but you do hate to see these guys go. Especially Endy Chavez, who despite a tough year n 2008, had a pretty nice Met career, and The Catch in October 2006 was a fantasstic Met moment. If only he could have gotten the game winning hit in the bottom of that same inning…alas.

Hamels told it like it is.

The Mets are gutless chokers. Hamels is merely the messenger.

omar, fred, and jeff are the bad guys, not cole hamels.

Douchebag, he was on FAN. The interview was in NYC, on an NYC station. He was on promoting a World Series DVD. The guys interiewing him asked him direct questions about Reyes and the Mets choking.

But if anything, we speak the truth:

Jimmy Rollins, April 2007: “We’re the team to beat in the NL East”. Yes we were. Division Champs 2007.

Jimmy Rollins, April 2008: “We’ll win 100 games this season”. Yes we did. 103 wins, including the playoffs.

Cole Hamel, December 2008: “The Mets are choke artists the past 2 years.” Yes they are, blew the division lead in September 2 years in a row, to the Phils.

Maybe next year Met fans. I hear JJ Putz might actually be recovered from his elbow injury, or maybe not. I’m sure you’ll find out soon enough.
