Happy New Year, Steve. Thanks again for this site, it keeps us sane. I agree with you on Manny, for a short-term deal, it makes absolute sense. It would steal at least part of the spotlight back from the Highlanders.
I would take Andruw ONLY if they take Castillo, and that is not going to happen. So, where/how do we get rid of Castillo? The purging job is not done in my opinion. Schoeneweis and Heilman had to go, good start. But seeing Castillo will, at least for me, be another reminder of the past 2 years.
Here’s hoping 2009 means October baseball in Queens, and I don’t mean the few regular season games with Houston.
Happy New Year Steve !!!
Thanks again for the place to vent.
Also thanks for the info on the boat…that
sucks. Back in 1988 I took for one season my friends season Sunday package and it was so nice to leave Shea and jump on the Manhattan bridge shoot downtown to the slip and me and the wife would eat at a
resturaunt on SI on Victory Blvd I forget the name I think it was the Victory Inn ?
Im sure its gone by now.
I really enjoyed that ride home on the water…and the Mets won a lot of those Sunday games that year !
AHHHH life before mortgages, kids and terrorists.
GO GIANTS !!!
BT
Nice…just good old fashioned nice!
