You used the wrong word. I think you meant "imminent" and not "eminent." Eminent is close to the meaning of "prominent" and "imminent" means about to happen.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('131889','Tim','You used the wrong word.
Freddy Garcia is insurance!
This comes in two forms.
1. It is insurance in case the Mets are unable to sign either Ben Sheets (my preferance)or Oliver Perez.
2. He is insurance for when one of the starters breaks down. Sooner or later, one or more of the Mets starting pitcher is going to be on the DL. It happens every year to most teams. Freddy Garcia is the Mets first call-up. In 2008, the Mets went through a long list trying to fill in for pitchers on the DL with little success.

Write in Tim Redding as the fifth starter, Freddy Garcia as the sixth starter, and Brian Stokes as the long man in the bullpen.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('131528','Vern','Freddy Garcia is insurance!\r\nThis comes in two forms.\r\n1.
