I’ve said all along that the 5th spot belongs to Petey. Livan and Freddy are both disgraces. Cut them both right now, and then answer the question, Mr. Minaya, why the fuck were they ever here? One guy supposedly eats innings, well, yeah, and does do to 5 ERA. The other guy, as Steve notes, is covered under the Pitchers with Disabilities Act. Pisses me off to see them in the uniform. And by the way, Redding sucks, too.
At least Petey knows what the hell he’s doing out there, and is a leader on the ball club. Even if “stuff wise”, he’s equal to the other three (and I think he’s far better), he brings a clubhouse presence. What do those other clowns bring?
I’m going to the series in Florida the first weekend of the season. I can’t wait. My daughter and I will be in full NYM gear (along with everyone else at Dolphins Stadium).
