APPEARING TONIGHT: GOD OLLIE (SO FAR)

Trying to watch both the Mets-Pads game and Rangers-Caps Game 1 sticking mostly with the Rangers (who are up 3-2 after 2 periods and without a doubt if Alexander Ovechkin played at the 53 rd St park in Brooklyn, he’d get his ass kicked every game.

Looks like Good Ollie has made his 2009 debut tonight so far it’s 2-1 Mets after 5 hopefully Good Ollie can last until the 7th so the firm of Putz & Rodriguez can close this one out.

Long day today as my kids are still home on Easter break so we had to hit the city for the day of theatre lunch and shopping so I’m beat and broke ( a bad combination ) so after reading my e-mails I’m ready for baseball and hockey for the evening.

A tidy enough win…and jose channeling jackie was a fun highlight.

We’ve got a tough division, no? Looks like four legitimate contenders for the Div title…man oh man!

It was a good night then. I wish I could still listen to the Rangers’ games in the mornings. They took that away this year. Don’t know why.

On the plus side MLB has finally fixed their audio player so I can listen to Howie & Wayne as I used to.

I can’t get too excited about Perez having a good night against SD. They’re not a big hitting club and those hitters they do have are left-handed.

    Eagle,

Caps came at the Rangers hard in the first period but they were able to keep Ovechkin off the board even with him firing 13 shots at King Henrik. Dubinsky but a great move on for his goal and the Rangers scored2 PPG with is a month’s worth.

Down the stretch of the 3rd period the Caps put pressue and the Rangers (Naslund) took too many penalties but a win is a win and the home ice swing to the NYR now
