METS FANS-CUBS FANS KINDRED SPIRITS

Over at the Bleacher Report there is an interesting post on who is the more tortured fan, Mets fans or Cubs fans? At first I thought how could these two states of fandom have much in common but the writer Paul Seivers puts in a pretty good context.

In my opinion the fact that the Mets have won two World Series in my lifetime makes the Cub fan more tortured but if you are a 25-30 year old Mets fan you may beg to differ.

    But Cub fans revel in their bad teams. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’ve never been able to take Cub fans seriously.
