Mets fans were hugging each other on the way out. I'm not kidding. I'm not much for man love, but I hugged three guys in Sheff hats. It was the most incredible ballpark experience I've had in a long time.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('148308','Rich','Mets fans were hugging each other on the way out.
Excellent job out of Rich for shipping up to Boston for the game. It seems that the Red Sox were not ready for the onslaught of Mets fans to desend on the old ball park this weekend. It's been said that Fenway personel have not seen that kind of support by the vistors ever. Take that Highlander fans!!!!!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('148305','kranepool','Excellent job out of Rich for shipping up to Boston for the game.
Folks, I was there last night. I've been to 500 Mets games in my life (probably even more), and that was number 2 in the pecking order (only after game WS game 7 in 1986). The emotions were unbelievable. Waiting for the overturned call, all the Mets fans at Fenway, the great D in the 9th. Wow!!! Got home at 1:30 and could not sleep. I DVR'ed the replay at 6 this morning and have been watching the 9th all morning as I do the coffee IV drip. Sometimes, you need to be reminded why we spend all this money and love the game and The Mets so much....last night covered me for quite a while. My daughter was so overcome with emotion she cried all the way home, best tears of joy in a long time!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('148185','Rich','Folks, I was there last night.
