ADAM LA ROCHE TO METS? WHY OMAR ? WHY?

If it were anyone else other than Joe De Mayo reporting this I’d brush it off but De Mayo has impeccable sources. He is reporting that upon completion of the Victor Martinez to the Red Sox deal the Red Sox will flip LaRoche to the Mets. WHY!!!!!!!! What does this mean for Daniel Murphy FUCK- FUCKITY-FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: Looks like LaRoche to Mets is dead LaRoche going to Atlanta Big man hug for Omar!!!

I TOLD YOU GUYS BILLY JOEL SUCKS

This from the great Can’t Stop The Bleeding site:

In a bid to keep the peace at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies wanted to cloak or replace the 16-by-16-foot Mets banner at the top of the set decoration at the Billy Joel/Elton John concerts tonight and Saturday.

Alas, they could not find anything suitable.

Joel will wear a Phillies jacket for at least part of the show and will make some sort of joking reference to the Mets and their 10-games-back status

My colleague Bob Ford and I hear that the Phillies had reached out to the “Face 2 Face” concert to express concern about Joel’s New York-theme set.

It’s not that the Phils are worried about any kind of baseball rivalry, we hear; they just don’t want some yahoo having too much to drink and throwing something at it or starting a fight. The Mets banner was visible at recent shows at Nationals Ballpark and Wrigley Field.

Perhaps Joel will sing “Philadelphia State of Mind,” as well.

My wife actually has Billy Joel albums but when I get home tonight they are going in the trash where they should have been in the first place.

Imagine this old broken down douche is going to wear a Phillies jacket? What a piece of shit! If you don’t any song played at $iti Field by this hack then you’re not a Mets fan

TIME FOR METS TO LET THE DEADLINE GO BY

Sure I’m geared up for the trading deadline this afternoon but my hope as a Mets fan is for Omar to grab a sandwich and go to Flushing Meadow, find a park bench, shut off his cell phone and let the trade deadline pass him by.

But if anything breaks today I’ll be back I’m in vacation mode right now. I’ll try to post some stuff during my va-ca (going to Disney World which means my ass will be dragged from park to park) mostly in the evenings or early mornings.

“OMAR, GET OUT FROM UNDER THE BED. YOU HAVE SOME GENNERAL MANAGING TO DO”

Good move last night by the Mets to call the game and not let Johan take the hill, pitch 2 or 3 innings then go back to a delay and lose him for a start. So today we have a day/night affair with Santana starting the matinee and John Niese pitching after dark.

First time I can ever think off Ed (Grey Goose) Coleman actually had something of substance to report as he gave us this gold nugget from his blog on Omar’s state of mind before the meltdown of Monday:

Here’s what happened and what triggered the outburst that stunned everyone. The press conference start time floated, as, it always seems, everything Met-related does – it was 3:00, then 3:30, then 3:45. The SNY Network – killing time – put Rubin on prior to Minaya’s appearance. Meanwhile, Minaya was watching, along with several players – some friendly with Bernazard – in the Mets clubhouse. Minaya obviously felt that Rubin was gloating over toppling Bernazard, the blood began to boil, some of the players expressed their displeasure, the anger rose and – voila – you had the perfect storm. Minaya carried it from there to the podium, and the rest is history.

So Omar got his Latin up and the sight of Rubin set him off. Again the biggest crime that Mnaya committed was he made it personal and not business. Bernazard is a close friend of Omar’s and was close to Jeffey and again this organization takes on a Nixon like persona that they cover up and cover up when they should just practice “the truth shall set you free approach”. Bernazard should have been reigned in a long time ago as this nasty way of his seems to be nothing new, the problem is if you’re going to be a prick you better be a very successful prick to survive.

Then Grey Goose tells how he would say hello to Bernazard and never get a reply so the only thing missing in Coleman’s last paragraph is this song playing in the background as he watched Tony B settle off into the sunset :

One final time – Hi Tony, how’s it going? Don’t worry, he’ll be fine – people like that always make sure they are.

I forgot to post this link yesterday from the great Mike Vaccaro of the Post you says it’s time for Jeffey Skill Sets to man up:

But this is 2009, and the cost of rooting for a baseball team is too great to embrace a mindless allegiance. Mets fans have learned to live with — even to embrace — the notion of being the underdog in a city that co-stars the Yankees. But they have been served by an ownership that opened a ballpark stripped of any semblance of the team’s history and operates a franchise that too often has the look and feel of an open mike night at the Comedy Store.

Maybe between the fan backlash on the lack of a Mets feel at $iti Field, and this latest Minaya/Bernazard fiasco, the light bulb has gone off in Jeffey’s head that something has to be done in Flushing. According to Wally Mathews, Jeffey said Omar was thisclose to getting fired for his embarrassing display and listening to Little Skill Sets it seems Omar went off the reservation his own and ownership is truly embarrassed  ( I wonder if a certain Used Car Salesman from Milwaukee called in some advice) It may take a big run by the Mets to save Minaya’ job or maybe he stays on but with someone over him in a capacity of President of Baseball Ops. Whatever, this whole week could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the Mets.

LEE TO CHEESESTEAKS

JP Riccaridi has been left out to dry by Ruben Armaro Jr as the Amaro deals with the Tribe to grab Cliff Lee the reiging CY Young Award winner in the AL and holds on to Kyle Drabek and J A Happ.

Omar if you can swing a deal for Roy Halliday all is forgiven in fact I’ll kick Adam Rubin’ ass for you if you make the deal

JEFFEY SKILL SETS PUTS ON HIS BIG BOY PANTS

Kids, I was thisclose to getting a word with Jeffey Skill Sets yesterday, thisclose.

I left my office on W.Broadway at 4PM to go to the game last night. I grabbed an uptown 2 train to Times Square and jumped on the 7 which just happened to be an express and I arrived at $iti Field by 4:45. To my surprise the gates at the O’Malley Shrine were opened and fans were filing in. I went down the left field line to watch BP after awhile I moseyed around the park, grabbed a hot dog (I swear Nathan’s makes two different brands of hot dogs, one for Coney Island and the other for general distribution as the Coney Island dogs are superior to the any other Nathan’s dogs off site. I swear on Coney Island they boiler the hot dogs in ocean water before grilling them) walked a little more, looked at sites, listened to the sounds and all of a sudden I saw a commotion in front of the Mets dugout. There with microphones, cameras and note pads was the CEO of the New York Mets, Jeffery S. Skill Sets holding court and me just 20 rows and a security guard away from my ultimate goal to heckle Jeffey. Now I knew there was no way in hell I was getting down there not with James from Woodside (that’s what it said on his badge) guarding the section.

So I had to wait until I go home from the game to hear what Jeffey had to say (just as well I didn’t get down to the dugout, who wants to get tossed out the ball park before a game and on your birthday no less) but from listening it seems that Omar acted out of frustration against Adam Rubin and what I found interesting was that Jeffey who usually calls his daddy and uncle by their first names, keeping it business like, said that Monday was an “embarrassment to him his father and his uncle” WOW this is personal. Omar’s in trouble here and it will take some big time fence mending with the Skill Sets and the press to save him. He better hope this on field resurgence continues as he is on thin ice and the temperature is getting hotter by the second.

This is where Minaya made his biggest mistake he made this personal and not business. His buddy got caught doing some nasty shit and Adam Rubin reported the facts and Omar got caught covering up Tony B’s transgressions. Omar wanted his pound of flesh and made himself into an ass doing it. Let’s see if he can recover from this.

………….AND WE’RE BACK………..

The site was having problems this morning and I’m blaming Jeffey Skill Sets and some Wilpon sabatogie for that but a big thanks to Sports Media Mogul Joe McDonald for fixing whatever it was that messed the place up.

As we approach the 24th hour since the M. Donald Minaya disgraceful presser the debate still rages on about the direction this team is going.  I’m not sure Minaya was working alone in his attack on Adam Rubin since Rubin stated he had spoke to Jeffey Skill Sets about getting into baseball and not Omar, it just smells of a set up to me.

In one way Omar was slick in calling out Rubin during the press conference as it took away the fact that Tony Bernazard would still have a job today if not for the daily stories on Bernazard’ behavior that were painting him as one nasty bastard and made the organization look bad.

What I don’t get is why the hell do the Mets ever let Minaya speak at these things? Listening to him stumble and stammer makes me so uncomfortable listening to him. If Minaya survives this off season and his contract extension kicks in, the Skill Sets should send Omar for some public speaking courses or bring in someone to work with him to help him speak in front of the cameras. The New York Mets for all their faults and ineptsness is still a billion dollar corporation and should not have as it’s spokesman a guy who has a problem putting a sentence together.

By the way the Mets won a game in big time fashion with Fernando Tatis hitting a grand slam on a 0-2 pitch that any other day would be the big story but as usual front office stupidity reigns again.

I’m going to the game tonight (as bad as the team is I love spending my birthday watching baseball) and I think I may go real early and call out Jeffey Skill Sets kind of like Steven Segal in Out For Justice as Det. Gino Felino went looking for Richie Madano in this scene. So if your at $ti Field tonight and you hear someone yelling “Yo Jeffey, Com’on out Jeffey” come by and say hi.

FORGET TONY B AND OMAR, FIRE JEFFEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Another day in Metsville where the suckitude off the field over shadows the suckitude on the field. As I type this, Tony Bernazard is still employed by the Mets and that is troubling. More troubling is that Omar Minaya is acting like these aligactons against Bernazard are fresh and he is ‘investigating” them. If that’s true Minaya should be fired on the spot as well.

I’ve defended Minaya here at this site while ducking the lings and arrows of the FIRE MINAYA brigade but as this Bernazard scandal unfolds it looks like Omar is either clueless of what is going on under his stewardship as the Mets top baseball man or he is a lying sack of shit. Either way due to the facts coming out that Omar has let this loose cannon Tony B run roughshod through the organization Minaya and Bernazard should both be fired like yesterday.

Not to rehash my post from yesterday but Bernazard was very smart to buddy up to Jeffey Skill Set but at some point Freddy Skill Set has to tear himself away from his personal pity party of getting fleeced by Bernie Madoff and along with Uncle Saul Katz take over control of the Mets organization before it burns to the ground. All Freddie has to do is look across his estate at his neighbor Charlie Dolan who gave his incompetent son the keys to the World’s Most Famous Arena and turned into the World’s Largest Shit Hole.

If Freddy doesn’t take the reins and grab control of the team and re-assigns Jeffey to the corporate wing of the organization, we Mets fans will be looking at the baseball version of the New York Knickerbockers. Freddy and Uncle Saul have to have an intervention with the little jock sniffer Jeffey and remove him from anything to do with the baseball operation. Then the must go in and rip apart the infrastructure of the team’s front office and start over.

Freddy needs to go after men like Larry Beinfest, Logan White of the Dodgers, Grady Fuson  and Paul DePodesta of the Padres, Abe Flores, the Angels Director of Player Development, or Jed Hoyer VP and Asst GM of the Red Sox. There are really good, smart baseball people out there and as this organization looks right now, if Freddy must make the ultimate decision to remove his son from any and all baseball decisions and make it known throughout baseball that this is such, what better situation for an aspiring GM would it be to run the NY Mets, to be the man who took the franchise out of the gutter and back to prominence.

Please Freddy and Uncle Saul, I come to you with Mets cap in hand SAVE OUR TEAM SAVE OUR FRANCHISE, REMOVE JEFFEY FROM ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE BASEBALL OPERATION IIIIIIIIIII”MMMMMMMMMM BBBBBBBEEEEEEEEGGGGGGGGGGGIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
