Still waiting to get back to my normal routine as office still under renovation. This was one longggggggggggg day and my ass is dragging.  I get to do it all over again tomorrow as well, yippeee!

But at least the night should be great as I’m going to see LOMBARDI the new play based on the book When Pride Still Mattered by David Maranis, one of my all time favorite books about the great Vince Lombardi.  Can’t wait for that, but for now I’m ready to fall face first into my bed as 5AM is right around the corner, so I’ll leave you with this, it’s pretty, pretty, pppprrreeetttty funny that Stan Kasten resigned his position as President of the Washington Nationals just when the word on the street is the Mets are looking for a Baseball Czar. Successful baseball exec, NYU, Columbia Law School grad, Jersey Guy ? It all makes sense, What do you think Stan Kasten running the Mets ? Works for me.

  1. I’m much less concerned with who’s going to be running the show than I am with the plan.

Specifically, I want somebody that has one. It could be Stan Kasten, it could be Jerry DiPoto. Heck, it could even be Omar Minaya.

Just don’t try to sell me the idea that things will all be ok as long as Jason Bay returns to his career average & we have a full year of Carlos Beltran.

  2. I am for anything that will not have Jeff in the way.

  3. Does anyone think that the LF wall should be cut in half? That structure is ok for Fenway where it’s within spitting distance of Home Plate and not so much in the Siberia of $iti Field. Why not help our guys hit more homers? Or is it a case of Dodger fans hating the Mets and making life difficult for the team?

  4. None of these walls and distances keeps the other teams from scoring runs. The fact is that this team, outside of R.A. Dickey, and maybe one or two others is made up of candy-asses and every series, especially against teams in the division show just how badly this team needs a heart transplant. Upset at Utley’s slide? Okay. What are you going to do about it? My guess is nothing.

  5. To continue, will they do anyything to Utley? No. Will they evere do anything to Uglla or Gaby Sanchez? Not a chance. Willy Harris? No way. So really, if management (Wilpons) does not think that this organization does not total overhaul, they deserve everything they get…unfortunately, we the fans do not.

  6. Wow, could my typing have been any worse in that last comment? No.
