Not for anything but as long as Mike Bloomberg has been Mayor of NYC, the town ran like Swiss clock. Crime dropped, tourism rose, snow was removed in a timely fashion and there was never much controversy, until he told the voters of NYC to shove their term limits referendum up their ass, “I want to be King of NYC forever”

Unfortunately, like a  rotting fish or a visting relative who over stays his welcome, Bloomy is starting to stink. Whether it’s his appointment of Cathie Black as President of Board of Education, whose solution to over crowding in NYC public schools is to tell people to practice birth control and then at a meeting of parents of children who will be displaced by their school closing, ignores them as she falls into a Blackberry induced stupor. Of course there is his cluster fuck of snow removal, his annoyance with cops and firefighters who after pulling out bodies and trying to save lives on September 1tth 2001, have developed illnesses that have rendered them disabled and are collecting pensions. Pensions that were earned from blood, sweat, tears and collective bargaining.

Now to add to his tarnished legacy he is failed attempted at a joke against the Irish  while speaking at the Irish Historical Center in Manhattan has solidified to me that Bloomy has lost his mind and this city.

Bloomberg own the NY Mets? HA! He can kiss my narrow back Irish-American ass.

  1. By the way Krane, while I get the fact that even if the public knew the truth about what Mayor Napoleon has done with the schools, that they would still not really care, but the general public has no idea the sham the mayor is pulling as he “builds his legacy” on being the mayor who forever “improved the schools” and finally bested those evil teachers and their union.

We won’t even get into the chutzpah over what he is trying to pull on the cops and firemen.

  2. At least Mikey didn’t say the inebriated Irish should practice birth control – imagine the reaction then. One thing I disagree with, Krane, is that I don’t think Mikey did all that great a job his first 8 years. I think the only overall improvement was the 311 system, for consolidating the way in which we reach our local governments (specifically, calling 311 for a noise complaint rather than the local precinct – even if nothing gets done about it, there’s a record of the complaint and over time, these records can be used to show a pattern of neglect, especially by the, ahem, 103rd precinct – whoever used to pick up the phone there would say they were too busy getting shot at to come and take care of a noise complaint).

Let’s face it – Mikey is a narcissist. Children First – Always. Come on!! Really?? Did he mean children first to get screwed by his policies? He’s a union buster who thinks that the best way to run the City is as a business and trimming all the excess costs from the bottom of the heap. He displays no social compassion, and I think it’s hilarious to see him and Clueless Cathie sitting in the front row of a church when they have not the slightest bit of Christian compassion and or any other sort of compassion for the lowest, the meekest, and the poorest among us. Or for any of us, for that matter. In fact, the way they are treating police, fire, and teachers, they appear to be very enthusiastic about creating even more poor, weak, and low. It’s almost funny that Joel Klein collects a public pension now. At least, it would be funny if it weren’t so hypocritical.
