How did he do it? How the hell did Sandy Alderson pull off this deal with the Brewers? Did the though tof crossing Sandy Alderson make Doug Melvin panic (you know that Alderson is a bad mother………shut your mouth I’m talkin’ about Alderson)
All it cost the Mets was about $6 mil to get rid of a suffocating contract and 2 PTBNL . I don’t care if Alderson got a case of Gorman Thomas rookie cards and 100 Don Money Bobbleheads plus a few cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon (for the hipster Mets fans) this is not just a great deal but a swift and accurate one as well.
Be proud Mets fans we’re back in business. Carlos Beltran is on the clock

Alderson dId the right thing and I have confidence that he will bring back the magic. But it is a little sad that once again another Big Move has failed.
All Hail Sandy. Just as we had hoped, there’s finally an adult in charge. Watching him play the Beltran card in the media, I can just hear the wheels turning, and I’m pretty sure he’ll get an honest to goodness prospect out of someone in that deal.
While he’s at it, maybe he can convince some asleep-at-the-switch GM that Mike Pelfrey will be just fine in pressure situations. Just fine.
I hope pelfrey is next I’ve had enough of him…
