Today is not only 11-11-11 it is also Veteran’s Day. So take the time today to thank a military veteran and just think about who should be paid more, an infantry solider or a Major League shortstop?
What would also be a nice gesture today is if all those inhabitants of Zucotti Park made their way to 5th Ave for NYC’s Veteran’s Day Parade to thank the men and women who put their lives on the line so they can enjoy the freedom to assemble and protest. It’s a two-way street you know.

short post , 2 great points
The folks down in Zucotti park are a byproduct of our media in this country. They are also mostly left wing nutjobs that dont have a clue what it means to be an American. While I agree with their anger their solutions are off the wall….they will not go to the parade and honor veterans they hate them. Its what they’ve been taught to do by our school system.
Paul, I have to tell you I resent that comment about the school system. You can have (legitimately) a bunch of complaints about our school system, hell as a NYC Teacher, I can tell a much longer list than you could ever imagine. However, there is one thing I know, colleges and universities being their own entity, I have never heard, a single teacher, or get a story from a kid about a teacher (K-12) that has ever said a bad word about US soldiers. Did we have those that did bad things, yes, but I have never heard one thing that said US Soldiers are evil. Those Vietnam days of spitting at soliers being acceptable by society are long gone.
Excellent!!!
