Calling All Mets Moms !

The NY Mets are looking for a few good Moms to join in a panel discussion giving feedback to the club on how to make the Citi Field experience better as a family event.  This is quite an astute move made by the club as any man with kids knows it’s Mom who keeps everything progressing in the right direction.

Moms never fall asleep on the couch when watching their kids. Moms never hold up take out menus and say “what would kids like for dinner? Italian? Chinese? Or how’s about a trip to Micky D’s? And no woman who has ever bore children has ever sat down and watched Sponge Bob Square Pants and laughed out loud? None. You know why? Moms have that special pragmatic way of handling things that Dads are just not equipped with.  So the Mets reaching out to the Moms of the fan base is quite frankly a stroke of genius.

The organization is trying to make a strong effort to make your day at Citi Field one you would want to do again. Let’s be honest here, the male baseball fan can deal with a dirty bathroom or a rude usher and a Schmohawk or two acting up with the hops and barley hit their brain, but Moms do not tolerated any of that and I’m sure the women who sign up for this panel will have ideas and opinions on how to make a day at Citi Field one that is enjoyable and find practical ways to utilized the staff and amenities at Citi Field in a better more efficient way .

I still don’t think even a panel of Moms can work to get Dads to admit that short cut he knows to beat the traffic on the Grand Central was a big mistake.

Happy Opening Day

I’m getting ready to head out to Citi Field for opening day so I really don’t have the time to go into a detailed post but hopefully I will have a nice recap of the day events this evening.

Couple of things though:

Two Boots Pizza will now be severed at Citi Field. This is great news for tow reasons, one, it delicious pizza and two, the owner of Two Boots Phil Hartman is a lifelong Mets fan so it’s nice to see the Mets take care of one of our own,

The Mets players, coaches and Terry Collins will be wearing CARTER 8 BP jersey’s today before the game. The pre-game ceremony will be quite emotional today as Carter’s family will throw out the first pitch. Bring lost of Kleenex.

Seems the Skill Sets were the villains  in the scheduling of the home and home games against the Highlanders to close out spring training. A real stupid and greedy move.

The organization should re-think the selling of tickets for the Party City Deck in left field from group sales to individual tickets. From the feedback I’m getting, if sold for $100 a ticket with all the amenities included would make it the most popular seat in Citi Field.

Later everyone, LET’S GO METS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
