If you are under 45 years old, you probably have no idea who Ron Lundy is. Lundy, one the great voices of 77 Music Radio WABC a radio station that just screams of summertime, school yards and stick ball games of my youth, whose signature open was “Hello Luv, From The Greatest City in the World I’m Ron Lundy” then he’d play a Beatles song, or a Rolling Stones Song, or a Temptations song or a …………well, you get the picture.

Lundy passed away yesterday at the age of 75, and his death just makes you realize more and more the lack of personality on radio today. What a shame !

I’m running out the door to spread some Christmas cheer but before I do, a moment please:

What does your Dickey do? Mine throws a knuckleball

Hello? Where have you been hearing that the Mets should get David DeJesus and Gil Meche? Hello? Is this thing on?

Fork please! Carlos Delgado is as done as a Christmas goose.

When it comes to Assclowns nobody beats Highlander fans. Some of these geniuses have been calling WFAN or Twittering that they hate the deal that brought Javier Vasquez to the Highlanders for Melkey Cabrea and a couple of bush leaguers. Sometimes Highlander fans your stupidity is breath taking.

Thank you Mike Vaccaro, thank you for a wonderful column this morning.

Why do I get the sad feeling that we will see more Red Sox stories in the fish wraps this summer than Mets news?

Greetings from the wilderness and from the looks of things I’m not missing much from our boys in Blue and Orange.

Reading the post on other sites (sorry I can’t link the sites as I’m not only pressed for time but the internet connection is so bad I’ve named it WILPON) and there looks like there will be a big fan revolt come September.

The bulls eye is squarley on Omar’s back and it everytime J-Man speaks after a loss he sticks another dagger in Minaya’ back.

Manuel’s mantra now is we will do this with pitching and defense and tells everyone this is all I’ve got and I’m making the best of it.

The more I see the more it looks like there may need to be an organizational cleansing on the horrizon.

go to go I have wood to chop (He’s a lumber Jack and he’s ok……….)

Nice article on Mets.com on my guy Edward Emil Kranepool and his memory of Shea but check out this first paragraph and tell me if I’m being to cranky:

{Mets fans know his name. It titles their blogs, lines their memories of the 1969 championship team and still represents how the franchise blossomed from expansion and into contention}

Hello? Jon,  would it kill you to link the the site or even name it or is it against MLB.com policy to link to indepenent bloggers ?
