SO MUCH FOR THE WILD CARD RUN EH?

I guess I’m not missing much from  our Mets? I see that Johan gave the Mets innings they needed due to Nelly Figs either sucking or missing so Buffalo so much he pitched like shit trying to get back there but the Mets could not hold a lead as Sean Heilman and Frankie Rods gave up the lead and the game to El Hombre and his Posse.

And now what, Luis Castillo tripped over a glve and is out with a sprained ankel? So who plays second base? Berroa? Tatis? Murph???????????????????

I’m not even thinking of the Mets right now as I’m in the happiest place on Earth or so the Disney staff keeps telling me over, and over, and over again.

THE CHIEF RIDES OFF INTO THE SUNSET

Here is all you need to know about the state of pitching in the Mets organization. The Mets released Freddy Garcia today as his fastball couldn’t break a pane of glass. Taking his start tonight for the woeful Bisons will be The People’s Cherce ,Nelly Figs who stood in the corner holding his breath and shaking his fist at Mets management for releasing him but then realized he’s not not as sexy as he thinks and came back home for two hots and a cot in Buffalo.

It just plays to the Ollie to the bushes talk that is utter nonsense (same something funny Mike) as there is no one to replace him from the upper reached of New York State.

If Tim Redding can come in a be decent (is it too much to ask to be league average?) then OP could be sent to remedial pitching school if not then OP stays because there is nothing better to replace him and that’s scarier than a fly ball to left field.

IT’S FEBRUARY 1, SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? TWO-WEEKS UNTIL PITCHERS AND CATCHERS!

What is there something else going on today? Oh yeah the Super Bowl. I never understood why people who never watch football get all excited to watch the Super Bowl? It would be like me watching the finale of Desperate Housewives a show I couldn’t give a rats ass about.

That’s why I avoid Super Bowl parties. I’ve been dragged to a few in my day by my wife but even she would get annoyed with all the questions I’d be asked at these functions  asking to explain ever play and all the rules and that’s why I’ll be home in my Archie Bunker recliner enjoying the game.

What I look for today is who wins the turnover battle. Ben Roethlisberger has a tendency to throw picks and the Cardinal defense has been getting turnovers this post season so that is an intriguing matchup. Can the Steelers run the football and control the clock on offense and use a ball control offense as a defense to keep Kurt Warner and his wide outs on the sidelines?

This game looks to be a very good matchup and from reading all the predictions from the experts most of them are split right down the middle. I have to say I’ve flip flopped all week trying to decide who I think will win but in the end I always go with the team that plays the best defense and that’s the Steelers So it’s Steelers 24-17 (right on the number) for me and Ring 6 for the Terrible Towlers.
